The Bio and some Pics of Metalamazon

Hi there! My name is Angie Wegener. I like to go hunting. I also like riding motorbikes and listening to HeavyMetal music. And I play electric violin, guitar and bass myself. This first picture was taken when I was 16. I think I was quite cute then, only the glasses! But I have better ones now...

On this pic I´m somewhat older, the glasses are better, and the instrument is definitely an improvement...

The 'Northern Kilts' on stage. I played with them for almost 3 years, from 1997 - 2000. You can see Doreen Rosenfeld (Akkordion), Angie Wegener (violin), Dieter Albrecht (bagpipes) and Thomy Reimitz (drums). The band broke apart when Thomy went to Greece, to teach at the German school in Athens.

Now a pic of me playing bass, about 5 years ago. I still have the bass and the amp, I like them a lot. I also play violin via the amp, it gives you really clean sound. I think I should always look down, I look better when you can´t see my face, I think...

Oh, by the way, I´m not making music all of the time, in real life I´m a teacher. I teach at a special school for underpriviledged youngsters in Kreuzberg/Germany. And believe me, I really like my job! Music is only my hobby.

This is a newspaper article of another band I played in for some years - 'Querstand'. Most members were teachers like me, and we mainly did musicals with our students. For example we did 'Jesus Christ Superstar' for 3 years in a row. It was great fun. The band started to break up when our guitarist, Gerald, died of a brain tumor. He was married to our saxophone player, Christine, who works as a music teacher. The bassist, Micha, is working as a music teacher, too. The keyboarder, Andreas, is now the dome cantor in Paderborn, Thomy is now teaching in Athens, and I left for Berlin...

This picture is brand new... no real improvement, either...
